Currently Hemswell Cliff Parish Council employs only one paid member of staff which is the Clerk to the Council. The Clerk acts in an objective way on behalf of the whole council and is not accountable to any single councillor.
The Clerks wide-ranging responsibilities which include, but are not limited to, providing advice, a managerial role, administrative support and correspondence management. More specifically, the Clerk is the proper officer for the Parish Council as well as acting as the responsible financial officer (S151).
